1, As the name suggests, glazed tiles is the tile surface covered by glaze. Basing on the raw materials, it can be divided into two kinds:
1) Ceramic glazed tiles, that is, made from clay, high water absorption, the breaking strength is relatively low. Its main feature is the back of the color is red.
2) Porcelain glazed tiles, that is made from porcelain clay, low water absorption, the breaking strength is relatively high. Its main feature is the back of the color is gray or white.
2, glazed tile glazed according to the different gloss, can also be divided into the following two:
1) Glazed glazed tiles. Suitable for manufacturing "clean" effect.
2) Matte glazed tiles. Suitable for manufacturing "fashion" effect.
3, common problems
Glazed tiles are the most common brick bricks in decoration. Due to the rich color patterns and strong anti-fouling ability, they are widely used in walls and floors. There are two main problems of common quality problems:
The root cause of the cracking is that the stress between the billet and the glaze is greater than the difference in thermal expansion coefficient between the billet. When the thermal expansion coefficient of the glaze is larger than that of the green body, the glaze will shrink under the shrinkage, and the glaze will be subjected to tensile stress. When the tensile stress is greater than the ultimate strength that the glaze layer can bear, it will crack.
2) back infiltration
Regardless of which kind of brick, water absorption is natural, but when the density of the body is too loose, it is not only the problem of water, but the problem of cement. That the cement will penetrate the surface of the sewage.
4, commonly used specifications
Square glazed tiles are 152 × 152mm, 200 × 200mm, rectangular glazed tiles with 152 × 200mm, 200 × 300mm, etc., commonly used glazed tiles thickness 5mm and 6mm.
